A SUMMARY NOTE ON “KHUTBU ZAMAN”, a poem written by Pa Ousman Joof
N.B- a copy of this poem can be found on www.paousmanjoof.4t.com
I start this note by seeking for permission and thanking the following in this chain/hierarchical order:
Pa Ousman Joof
Sheikh Mustapha Drammeh
Imam Muntakha Faye/ Sereign Omar Fatou Jallow Nyass (R.A)
Bai Ebrim Nyass (R.A)
Sheikh Ahmad Tijan (R.A)
Muhammada Rasulula (S.A.W)
Allahu Akbar
It is indeed in this chain that I got the go ahead and ability to write both this Note and the Poem. I would also not forget to thank my parents (Alh Modou Joof) and Aja Fatou Joof through whom I came to the world.
It is a pleasure and a priviledge for me to write and write what I know. I would not therefore in anyway hesitate to thank all the above in their different capacities, ranks and profiles as far as me and all “Talibehs” who can hear are concern.
This poem about Alh Bai Ebrim Nyass (R.A) is written by one of his die hearted fans, a strong and humble “Talibeh” and a total devotee who has sought the knowledge of bartin (hidden knowledge) and has indeed gained a great inspiration from the sheikh. As a result of the billion things he owes to the sheikh, Pa Ousman Joof decided to write a poem about Bai Nyass and his deeds and teachings as a show of his gratitude, thankfulness and generosity to his mentor (bai Nyass).
For we are told in a perfect Hadith that”Talabul helmi faridatun alakuli muslimin wal muslimatin” which means seeking knowledge is an obligation to every Muslim (male and female). As a matter of fact thus, this poem is not written to hurt the feelings or please anyone, instead it is written to attract more people to the Tarikha, compliment the efforts of the sheikh and blow the wind of reality across the world for everyone to sniff.
For our prophet (S.A.W) told us to seek knowledge as far as China. Then let us not undermine any kind of knowledge. Anything we know that we did not know before, it only takes us forward when we properly utilize it.
I therefore openly declare that everything in this poem is true and to the best of my knowledge. Let me not be misjudged though, for I have no doubt that some people would read this poem and be thinking “what in the world is he talking about” while some would categorise me among the mundane/insane but trust me, everything in this poem is well echoed and would be exclusively swallowed and understood by only those who drink from the river of “AKHIKHA” from where I drunk.
“Come take your first step to be bright
It is never too late even at night”
If you want to really understand and be able to relate everything in the poem and know its real meaning, just try to meet any Mukhadam with Lijaasa (trusted men of Bai) anywhere anytime and have them lay hands on you, Then you shall become your true self that is reborn and shall never die again.
There is indeed no hidden translation or explanation of both the note and the poem, everything is clearly spelt out (self explanatory) but hard to believe or perceive by most because it is the truth. I challenge everyone who reads this poem to whole-heartedly believe in order to gain a positive result. For Bai Nyass had prayed to Allah to lay hands on whoever intentionally wants/stands to humiliate him (Bai). Therefore, let us act by the French saying that” tu Ce que merit deter fait, merit deter bein fait” which means, “What is worth doing is worth doing well”.
The wollof also said whoever is to die in the bush must not allow to be killed by a chameleon I thus CHALLENGE all and sundry to come whole heartedly to join the Sheikh in his call. The mukhadam’s of Bai are found everywhere in the world including America. Thus if anyone is convinced and want to really drink from the river of “Hakhikha”, do not hesitate to contact me via email , or anyone you know that is near to you.
I cannot close this chapter without rementioning my mentors who lead me into this Tarikha and injected the knowledge that enable me to write this poem. For Allah asked us to know him before worshipping him and we of course cannot know him by ourselves except in his miraculous majesty he wants us to. He has told us that he is nearer to us than the sting/rope of our souls, but because of his closeness to us, we don’t understand, notice or value his presence. Frankly speaking, knowing Allah is gone beyond the ability to read the Quran and practice the Sunnahs of the Prophet (S.A.W) We are indeed blinded by Allah’s closeness to us just like one cannot see what is in/on one’s hands if you use those same hands to cover your eyes.
To get this knowledge of knowing Allah in his true sense we have to pass through people that are close to him, people that already know him and the ways and short cuts to get to him rather than wanting to get to him by ourselves. For Allah has given us replicas of everything he has on earth except two things which are never revealed to just anyone. Then if you want to go to the market you have never been, it is better to ask someone who has been there before to take you rather than going by yourself. I am not saying you won’t reach the right store you are going to but you will get lost a million times before getting there. And worst of all, everyone that goes with and acquainted person will arrive way before you and get all the good things before you get there. Then why waste your time when you can do it by using the short cut with someone that has self-decipline and decline between them and Allah.
That is why I would not in anyway forget Sheikh Mustapha Drammeh, who I was attached to by Imam Muntakha Faye and the entire Dobson Street Ansaru Deen.
If you need more information about the Tarikha, Bai Nyass, Sheikh Ahmad Tijan, The PROPHET (S.A.W) or Allah, you must past through the “CHOSEN ONES” like Imam Muntakha Faye and you shall indeed see the difference.
If you need to know more about me as a person or more of my artistry, do not hesitate to contact me on email paousman146@yahoo.co.uk or yet still visit my website at www.paousmanjoof.4t.com and you shall find this poem that you can please print and distribute to others or forward.
My intention is never to mislead but straightened. So I am indeed sorry if anything is wrong. I stand to be corrected.
Asalamu alaikum warahmatullah

HUTBU ZAMAN
The wake of Hutbu Zaman
In the heart of Senegambia
Latest of all Tarikhatul generations
Closed the doors of Fatherhood
Minka as he is call for good
Is the sieve of the world
Who uncovered the covered
Unrusted the rusted
And divergent the forest
For us to cultivate
Teaching us the 'Quran'
'Sunnah' and 'Wosifa'
While showing us who we are
What was hidden from the sages
Is now revealed to the babies
We must stand up for our right
Since we have seen the light
Bob Marley's words in his might
Painful to hear like a blight
The sun that rise must surely set
Bringing with it shadows I bet
Every soul that struggle to live
Must taste sweet death I believe
Let us then try to move
Since death is a groove
A fallen branch deforms a tree
But with time it heals without a fee
Giving it a better shape that ever can be
Makha though is gone
In our midst he still sits
Leading us to ourselves
Teaching us 'Jalal' and 'Jamal'
When we obliviously live with one
Expecting the other every minute
His companion Muhammad the Prophet
He assured was himself hidden
Since nine is neuf while eleven is onze
Abandon not the river for a pool
Scramble not for what you own
Your rivals the fire shall burn
Compare not a goat to an elephant
Give not your patient to a doctor's child
Since a corpse can never give a direction
For sugar's sweetness is never known
Unless it dissolves on the tongue
Sheikh Al Islam the giant smiler
Whose enemies were his best friends
On whom he spent all his wealth
Bai Nyass everyone's hidden father
Whose boats float with different fish
Illuminating him across the circle
For the truth has come to the light
Then you need not to fight
Come take your first step to be bright
It's never too late even at night
Glory be to Sheikh Mustapha Drammeh
Peace be on to Imam Muntakha Faye
And Dubson street Ansaru Deen
From whose mouth I am speaking
